HOUSE DV

2016

In a world where time slips away from us and our connection with nature feels distant, Casa DV emerges as a refuge of views and silence. Concrete and glass engage in a dialogue that invites observation—both of the surroundings and of oneself.

More than just a dwelling, Casa DV expresses the asymmetry of our lives through its two offset volumes, symbolizing the coexistence of “two lives” (DV) that complement each other in harmony despite their differences. The upper volume floats without central support, creating a semi-covered space and forming a “suspended lookout” over the landscape.

The solidity of concrete contrasts with the large glass windows, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior. This design invites exploration of the natural environment while rediscovering our inner selves. Every corner of Casa DV reminds us that sometimes, what truly matters is to pause, reconnect, and observe the world with fresh eyes.
